Relax and enjoy a spa, you deserve it

Kuopio and its surroundings boast several spas where you can relax and be pampered. The only thing you need to do is choose where you’re going. Or maybe try them all? In addition to bathing, spas offer many other health, beauty and wellness services and treatments as well as delicious restaurant experiences.

In Kuopio there is Spa Hotel Rauhalahti, which serves guests year-round and is located by the shore within a great transport connections.

Tahko offers spa experiences at Tahko Spa, where you can relax in a jacuzzi or work out in the exercise pool. Under the same roof there are many activities such as bowling alley, fitness center and activity park. Having opened in late 2023, Forest Spa Lähde is the newest spa in the area, located at the peak of Tahko Mountain. Forest Spa showcases breathtaking views from its outdoor saunas and pools. Spa premises are exclusively for adults.

Vesileppis in Leppävirta, a 45 minutes drive south from Kuopio, has a 32 metre water slide, children’s pool, Wibit climping course, a six-lane lap pool, cold water pool, massage pools and much more. Or why not book a herbal bath or hot stone massage? 

But we’re not done yet – in Siilinjärvi there are two spas. Spa Hotel Kunnonpaikka is only a 10-minute-drive from the Kuopio market place and excellent destination for a holiday or a day of pampering. In the center of Siilinjärvi, halfway between Kuopio and Tahko, there’s Fontanella. There are 10 different pools and Finland’s longest water slide. Do you dare to try?
