Kuopion palloseura KuPS
KuPS is a football club from Kuopio. The club has continuously played in Veikkausliiga since 2008.
Kuopio Steelers
The Kuopio-based American football team Steelers started in Varkaus in 1991 and moved to Kuopio in 2006. The men’s team of the club competes in the highest level of American football in Finland, Vaahteraliiga.
Puijon Pesis
Puijon Pesis was founded in 1999 when two men’s representative teams merged. Puijon Pesis has both men’s and women’s representative teams, with the women’s team known as the Puijottaret. Puijon Pesis and Puijottaret are currently playing in Ykköspesis, the second highest division.
KalPa Hockey
KalPa is a ice hockey team from Kuopio. The team has long traditions as it was founded in 1929 and specialized in ice hockey in the 1950’s. KalPa plays hockey at the highest Finnish level, Liiga.
