ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival is an international contemporary arts festival presenting site-specific works made for public spaces.
Held annually in Kuopio, the city hosts the festival, projects by artists from around the world inhabit the spaces of public life – homes, shops, city squares, business, forests, lakes – and directly engage communities and audiences in the making and showing of their work.
ANTI Festival is held annually in September and its events are free of charge for the public.

Over 20 years old, the ANTI Festival is Finland’s leading live art event. Live art is an umbrella term for innovative performance art, encompassing cross-disciplinary, participatory, and contemporary approaches to artistic expression.
At the ANTI Festival, new forms of art, urban culture, and reaching diverse audiences are combined with educational and research perspectives. Festival attracts approximately 9,000 visitors per year.
