Tahko observation tower
Tahko’s year-round open attraction, Tahko observation tower, is located on the top of the slopes and next to Pehkubar. The tower is 13 meters tall and open for everyone.
The top of the tower rises almost 200 meters above lake Syväri and offers breathtaking views. Beside that, the tower also serves the skiers as a start platform for Special slope.
The tower has sturdy aluminum-structured straircase and the top can accommodate about 30 people at a time. The changing landscapes of the tower are charming throughout the year and at all times of the day.
Location
The address to the Tahko observation tower is the same than to Pehkubar, Pehkuntie 457, 73310 Tahkovuori. It is reachable by car or by the marked hiking trails.
The tower was constructed by Tahkon kyläyhdistys ry, Huippupaikat Oy and City of Kuopio.

- By snowmobile: The snowmobile route to the Pehkubar, goes between the campfire place Nipanen and Rahasmäki
